Minutes of the regular meeting of the Livonia Township Zoning
Board, held in the Township Hall, June 30th, 1949.
This meeting is also a Public Hearing to consider petitions
for change in Zoning.
The meeting was called to order at S P.M. by Chairman Johnston.
Members present: Carson Johnston, George Bentley, Robert
Rewey and Attorney William Brashear,
Mr. Bentley reads the Legal Notice of the Public Hearing.
The first petition to be considered 1s that of Dr. Frank
Wilson, requesting a change from an AG-1-0 classification to a
0-2 classification onthe following described property:
The Northeast Quarter of the Northwest
quarter of Section 36 and the West One -Half
of the Northeast Quarter of Section 36, to
a depth of 300 feet measuring from the center
of Plymouth Road,
Attorney Brashear reads the definitions of C-1 and 0-2
classifications,
Mrs. Mabel Sharpley was present representing Dr. Wilson,
and stated that they were anxious for the change.
No one present against the change,
Mr. Bentley states that, since this property is across the
Road from the new General Motors plant, it should be changed to
business frontage, and so moves that this change in Zoning be
recommended to the Township Board. Seconded by Mr, Rewey. Motion
carried.
The petition of Mr, Elmer Alexander, which was tabled at the
meeting of May 26th, 1949, on the following described property
was reopened:
Tge area bounded on the South by the Northerly line
of Plymouth Road; on the West by the west section line
of Section 28; on the North by a line parallel to, and
300 feet northerly of, the North line of Plymouth Rd;
on the East by a line parallel to, and 893.50 feet east
of the West Section line 2S,-
Mr. Alexander was present for the change, and no one present
objected.
0n motion by Mr. Bentley, seconded by Mr. Rewey, the above change
in zoning was recommended to the Township Board,
There being no further business to come before the Board, the
meeting was adjourned by Chairman Johnstonmt 8:30 P.M.
