MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE LIVONIA TOWNSHIP PLANNING BOARD HELD
AT LIVONIA TOWNSHIP HALL, WAYNE COUNTY, JULY 26TH 1945•
MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 8. PM. BY CHAIRMAN JOHNSTON WITH
ALL MEMBERS AND ATTORNEY JOHN B. AMBROSE PRESENT.
THE MINUTES OFTHE MEETING HELD JULY I2TH WERE READ AND APPROVED.
MR. W. J. HANLON REQUESTED PERMISSION TO OCCUPY AN AUTOMOBILE
TRAILER ON PROPERTY ON LAMONT ST. BETWEEN CHICAGO BOULEVARD AND
JOY ROAD, CONTRARY TO PRESENT ORDINANCE. MR. HANLON AGREED TO
MOVE THE TRAILER WITHIN TEN DAYS.
MR. IRA ROWELL, 28820 JOY ROAD, WANTED TO BUILD AOTOMOBILE REPAIR
SHOP BUILDING, 24X30 OF CEMENT BLOCKS ON ABOVE ADDRESS. DISTRICT
IS NOW IN R-I. ON MOTION BY MR. BENTLEY, SECONDED BY MR. FENSKE,
THIS MATTER WAS REFERRED TO THE LIVONIA TOWNSHIP APPEAL BOARD
WITH FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION FROM THE PLANNING BOARD. MOTION
CARRIED.
MR.NORMAN LEWIS, 9000 HENRY RUFF ROAD APPEARED ON INSTRUCTIONS
OF BUILDING INSPECTOR OWENS. MR. LEWIS HAD MOVED TWO CHICKEN HOUSES
TO ABOVE ADDRESS WITHOUT PERMIT. ON MOTION BY MR. BENTLEY, SECONDED
BY MR. ISBELL, THIS MATTER WAS HELD IN ABEYANCE UNTIL THE REGULAR
MONTHLY MEETING OF THE TOWNSHIP BOARD TO BE HELD AUG. 6TH 1945.
MOTION CARRIED.
MR. AND MRS. ADOLPH BOHL, 33900 PLYMOUTH ROAD APPEARED BEFORE THE
BOARD REQUESTING THAT THEIR PROPERTY, APPROXIMATELY 600 FEET
FRONTAGE ON THE NORTH SIDE OF PLYMOUTH ROAD BETWEEN FARMINGTON
AND STARK ROADS,BE ZONED ON THE PROPOSED NEW MAP AS A COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT. ON MOTION BY MR. FENSKE9 SECONDED BY ISBELL, ATTORNEY
AMBROSE WAS REQUESTED TO HAUE ENGINEER JOHNSTON SHOW ON U4(XNRX
THE PROPOSED NEW MAP ALL PROPERTY ON THE NORTH SIDE. ON PLYMOUTH
ROAD BETWEEN FARMINGTON AND STARK ROAD UNDER THE SAME DISTRICTS
AS THE PROPERTY DIRECTLY OPPOSIT IT ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF PLYMOUTH
ROAD. MOTION CARRIED.
MR. JOHN MACK, 8990 HIX ROAD APPEARED BEFORE THE BOARD AND
WANTED THE SOUTH EAST CORNER OF ANN ARBOR AND HIX ROAD
ZONED AS A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT,THIS FOR 100 FEET ON HIX ROAD
FACING WEST AND 128 FEET ON ANN ARBOR ROAD. ON MOTION BY MR.
BENTLEY, SECONDED BY MR. FENSKE IT WAS MOVED TO CHANGE THIS ON
THE PBBPOSED NEW MAY TO A DISTR LCY MOTION CARRIED.

HOUSE, MAINTAINED BY MR. AND MRS. CAPPELLO. MRS. PERSSON STATED
THIS CHICKEN HOUSE IS A NUISANCE BECAUSE OF OBNOXIOUS ODORS AND
UNSANITARY CONDITIONS. ON MOTION NY MR. BENTLEY, SECONDED BY
MR. ISBELL, CHIEF OF POLICE, MR. RAY OWENS, WAS INSTRUCTED TO
INVESTIGATE THIS COMPLAINT AND IF CONDITIONS WARRENT, TO BRING
MR. KETTILA TO COURT FOR LEGAL ACTION.
MR. ROY LOBUTTER, 11971 CAMDEN APPEARED REQUESTING APPROVAL
OF A PERMIT FOR A BREESEQAY AND GARARGE. LOT LINE DISTANCES ETC
WERE EXPLAINED TO MR.. LOUSUTTER. NO ACTION BY THE BOARD WAS
DEEMED NECESSARY.

WAS HELD, CORRECTIONS AND MINOR ALTERATIONS MADE.
ON MOTION BY 1SBELL, SECONDED BY MR. BENTLEY THE MEETING WAS
ADJOURNED UNTIL 8 PM AUG. I6TH 1945. MOTION CARRIED.

This Board has been petetioned by neighbors of Mr.
lave Kittila, residing at 18624 Irving to take aotion to abate
an alleged nuisance maintained by Mr. Kittila by keeping
chickens under unsanitary conditions.
There is reason to believe these thickens are housed
in a building built on a building permit for a &verge.
