PLANNING BOARD HELD APRIL 27, 1945 AT LIVONIA TOWNSHIP HALL
WAYNE COUNTY MICHIGAN.
MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 6.15 PM BY CHAIRMAN CARSON JOHNSTON
WITH MR. GEORGE BENTLEY AND MR. G. L. ISBELL PRESENT, ALSO MR.
JOHN B. AMBROSE, ATTORNEY. MR. RAY OWENS, BUILDING INSPECTOR.
MR. EARNEST SMITH 8980 MIDDLEBELT, SECTION 36, PRESENTED
PLANS FOR A POULTRY HOUSE TO BE ERECTED ON THIS PREMESIS. ON
MOTION BY BENTLEY, SECONDED BY ISBELL THIS MATTER WAS REFERRED TO
THE BOARD OF APPEALS WITH RECOMMENDATION THAT BUILDING PERMIT BE
ISSUED PROVIDED SAID PROPOSED BUILDING IS ERECTED AT LEAST SEVENTY
FIVE FEET (75') FROM ANY NEIGHBORS HOUSE AND NOT LESS THAN FIFTY
FEET FROM HIS OWN RESIDENCE AND AT LEAST TWENTY FIVE FEET FROM HIS
NEIGHBORS LOT LINE.
MR. JEROME ZIEGLER, 8967 FREMONT, SECTION 35, PRESENTED
REQUEST FOR WAIVER OF LOT LINE DISTANCE IN ERECTION OF POULTRY
HOUSE ON HIS PROPERTY. IN AS MUCH AS THE COX LINE ALREADY ESTAB-
LISHED FOR POULTRY HOUSES ON ADJACENT PROPERTY IS IN LINE WITH
SITE OF PROPOSED BUILDING AND MR ZIEGLER HAS WRITTEN INDICATION
FROM THREE OF HIS NEIGHBORS OF NO OBJECTION THIS MATTER, ON MOTION
BY ISBELL, SECONDED BY BENTLEY, WAS REFERRED TO BOARD OF APPEALS
WITH RECOMMENDATION THAT PERMIT BE ISSUED.
MRS. E. D. MAIN, 19925 DEERING, SECTION I, REQUESTED PERMISSION
TO BUILD TEMPORARY POULTRY HOUSE, 6'x8' FOR USE DURING THE FOOD
RATIONING PERIOD ONLY, IN REAR OF ABOVE ADDRESS. ON MOTION BY ISBELL,
SECONDED BY BENTLEY THIS MATTER WAS REFERRED TOT HE BOARD OF APPEALS
WITH RECOMMENDATION T HAT PERMIT BE ISSUED.
MR. W. M. GUST, 8901 HUGH ST. SECTION 35, REQUESTED PERMIT
TO BUILD A STORE BUILDING ON LOTS 50 AND 51, ON EAST SIDE OF MIDDLE
BELT, NORTH OF JOY ROAD. TI1_IS BEING STRICTLY A RESIDENTIAL BLOCK
WITH RESIDENCES NOW OCCUPIED, THIS BOARD 13 OPPOSED TO ISSUING PERMIT
BY UNANIMOUS DECISION.
MR. R. C. ROSS, 20150 RENSSLER, REQUESTED PERMISSION TO COMPLETE
THE ERECTION OF OUT BUILDING, 12X20' TO BE USED AS A TOOL HOUSE AND,
FOR THE PERIOD OF FOOD RATIONING ONLY, FOR HOUSING POULTRY. ON MOTION
BY BENTLEY, SECONDED BY ISBELL, THE MATTER WAS REFERRED TO THE BOARD
OF APPEALS WITH RECOMMENDATION THAT PERMIT BE ISSUED.
MR. RALPH CONZELMAN, 20130 ANGLIN ROAD, PRESENTED REQUEST
FOR PERMISSION TO ERECT A 105(15' POULTRY HOUSE ON ABOVE PROPERTY
FOR USE DURING FOOD RATIONING ONLY. SAID REQUEST ACCOMPANIED BY
FAVORABLE PETETION SIGNED BY ALL NEIGHBORS RESIDING WITHIN THREE
HUNDRED FEET OF MR. CONZELMAN. ON MOTION BY BENTLEY, SECONDED BY
ISBELL, THE MATTER WAS REFERRED TO THE BOARD OF APPEALS WITH
RECOMMENDATION T HAT PERMIT BE ISSUED.

DUE TO CONFLICTING WITH MONTHLY MEETINGS HELD BY THE
WOMEN'S AUXILLARY OF THE V. F. W. THE BOARD DECIDED TO CHANGE THE
DATE OF REGULAR MONTHLY MEETINGS FROM THE LAST FRIDAY IN EACH MONTH
TO THE LAST THURSDAY IN EACH MONTH.
A DISCUSSION WAS HELD REGARDING SURVEYING TI-E TOWNSHIP
BY MEMBERS OF TIME BOARD FOR RECLASSIFYING DISTRICTS AND LISTING NON-
CONFORMING USES FOR THE PROPOSED NEW ORDINANCE BEING PREPARED
IN COMPLIANCE WITH ACT 184 OF THE PUBLIC ACTS OF 1943, STATE OF
MICHIGAN.
ON MOTION BY BENTLEY, SECONDED BY ISBELL, THE MEETING WAS
ADJOURNED, SUB JECT TO CALL BY CHAIRMAN CARSON JOHN STON WITH DEFINITE
MEETING SET FOR THIRSDAY MAY 31, 1945 AT 8.PM.

LIVONIA TOWNSHIP BOARD OF APPEALS AND MR. RAY OWENS, BUILDING
