County, Michigan, at a meeting held at the Township Hall of
Livonia Township, Monday, February 7, 1944, at 7:30 P.M. This
being the time for a Public Hearing granted the Planning Board
by the Township Board for the purpose of considering a proposed
ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance andchanging the dis-
trict boundaries thereof, as more fully set forth hereinafter,
the meeting was called to order by Supervison Jesse Ziegler,
who turned the meeting over to the Chairman of the Planning
Board, Carson, Johnston. The following members of the Plan-
ning Board were present: George Isbell, George Bentley, Wm.
Fenske, Carson Johnston.
Chairman Jonston read the petition asking for a change of the
classification of the district hereinafter described, and ask-
ed for an expression of opinion by those present interested
in the matter. J. F. Rousseau stated kkx he was in favor of
the request in the Petition and gave his reasons. Angeline
Rousseau also spoke in favor of the Petition. Chairman Jokn-
ston asked if anyone present opposed the change prayed fork
in the Petition and no one took the floor or rose in opposition.
Chairman Johnston then declared the public hearing closed and
the Planning Board continued in session to consider the pro-
posal before it.
It was moved by George Isbell and supported by Wm. Fenske that
the Planning Board recommend and introduce in the Town Board
the following Ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance, to wit:

AMENDMENT
Section 23.01
The Zoning Ordinance of Livonia Township, Wayne County, Michigan,
is hereby amended as follows:
the land in the destrict in said Livonia Township bounded on
the West by Newburg Road; on the North by Plymouth Road; and on
the Southeast by Ann Arbor Road, Livonia Township, ;Jayne County,
Michigan, is hereby removed from the C-1 and R-1-F districts
classification and the said land so above described is hereby
made and placed in the category of a C-2 District, anything in
the said Zoning Ordinance to the contrary notwithstanding and
hereby amending any and all parts of such Zoning Ordinance as
may be necessary to effe9tuate such change.t This Ordianance shall
:take effect immediately.'
The motion carried by a vote of 4 to 0. The Chairman declared
the motion carried.
It was moved by George Bentley and seconded by 'Cae Bentley
that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
