April 2 8� 1950 Minutes of the public hearing held by the Zoning Commission Friday, April 28th, 1950 in the Township Hall, Members present: Carson Johnston, George Bentley, Walter Russell and Attorney William Brashear. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Johnston at 8:15 P.M. Mr. Russ&LI reads the legal notice of the Public Hearing. The petitioner, Thomas Braccini, 33935 Schoolcraft, requests a change of zoning from AG-1-B to a Del classification on the property at the South west corner of Stark and Schoolcraft Roads, running West a distance of 85 feet. Mr. Brashear reads the Uses Permitted. in A.G-1-B and C-1 classifications. Mr. Braccini explains that his purpose is to sell nursery stock, fertilizer and everything pertaining to the up -keep of said nursery stock and landscaping = that he believes he could. do this in an AG-1=B district, but that he wished. the Zoning changed. legally. Mr. Holmes, 14050 Stark Rd., states he has no objection to selling nursery stock, but that he did object to any buildings being erected. for that purpose. Mr. Bracinni answers that he has no intention of erecting additional buildings. Mr. Wyman, 14001 Stark Rd., - thinks Mr. Braccini has the right to sell nursery stock in an AG-1 district. Mrs. Lofty, 33950 Schoolcraft Road would be near enougia to have a business Mre, Adamcyzk, 34465 Schoolcraft - notified by letter of zoning changes to - thinks Farmington Road district. thinks people should be be made. Mr, Earl Kline is not in favor of changing to C-1 - does not object to Mr. Braccini selling shrubs, but does not want 0-1. Mr. Wonnaeott, 34160 Schoolcraft - believes that neighbors have paid good prices for their homes and do not want business there. Mr. Pawl,awskir 34565 Schoolcraft - claims Mr. Braccini could. buy flowers and shrubs in Detroit cheap, and then sell them on that corner, thereby being able to undersell the gardeners in this locality. A question about signs - Mr.. Brashear stated that in C41, a sign containing 9 sq. ft. could be erected for advertising purposes. Minutes ofApr fl 28th, 1950 Page Two Mr.. Bentley now moves, that this petition be denied, in view of the sentiment of the surrounding property owners. Seconded. by Mr. Russell, Motion carried. There being no furth.er, business to come before this Board, on motion by Mr. Bentley, seconded by Mr. Russell, the meeting was adjourned. by Chairman Johnston at 9:10 P.M. Approved: Georg e Iv.
