1. REQUEST TO WAIVE THE CITY’S NOISE ORDINANCE: Robert Rais, Knights
of Columbus, re: to allow a car show with a DJ at Saint Colette’s Catholic Church,
17600 Newburgh Road, on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
2. REAPPOINTMENT OF ANDREW LENDRUM TO THE LIVONIA BOARD OF
REVIEW: Office of the Mayor, re: for a three-year term, which will expire on
February 16, 2021.
3. REQUEST TO APPROVE LOCATION AND SCHEDULE OF DATES AND TIMES
FOR THE 2018 BOARD OF REVIEW MEETINGS, AS WELL AS
COMPENSATION RATES FOR MEMBERS: Department of Assessment, re:
per the requirements of State of Michigan Statute MCL 211.30.

4. REQUEST TO ACCEPT QUOTATION FOR LIFE INSURANCE AND
ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT INSURANCE: Department of
Finance, re: from Standard Insurance Company for the period of March 1, 2018
to February 28, 2020.
5. AWARD OF BID: Livonia Fire & Rescue, re: for replacement of seven (7)
Bullard QXT Thermal Imaging Cameras not to exceed $44,905.00, from budgeted
funds.
6. AWARD OF BID: Division of Police, re: for purchase of thirteen (13) tactical vests
and helmets to be utilized by the Intelligence Bureau, in an amount not to exceed
$59,969.78, from budgeted funds.
7. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE FOUR (4) UNMARKED
POLICE VEHICLES UTILIZING THE STATE OF MICHIGAN AND THE
COUNTIES OF OAKLAND AND MACOMB CONSORTIUM BID PRICING:
Division of Police, re: to be used by the Intelligence Bureau, from budgeted funds.
8. REQUEST TO APPROVE PURCHASE OF FIFTY (50) DELL LAPTOPS; SIXTY
(60) DELL WORKSTATIONS; AND TWENTY-FIVE (25) DELL LAPTOPS WITH
A CELLULAR DATA MODEM FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND TWENTY
(20) DELL WORKSTATIONS FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT THROUGH THE
STATE OF MICHIGAN BID PROCESS: Division of Police, re: to replace current
devices which are out of warranty and at the end of their life, in an amount not to
exceed $237,463.75, from budgeted funds.
9. REQUEST TO ACCEPT A U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE 2016 JUSTICE
ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) IN CONJUNCTION WITH WAYNE COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY: Division of Police, re: to purchase
law enforcement equipment, no matching funds are required.
10. REQUEST FOR A SIX-MONTH EXTENSION OF CONTRACT WITH TRIMEDIA
ENVIRONMENTAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES LLC: Public Service
Division, re: to provide sample collection analysis, and report production on
required tasks associated with administration of the existing Type III Landfill and
former Act 87 that may be required by the Michigan Department of
Environmental Quality (MDEQ), the Detroit Water Sewer Department
(DWSD) and the Wayne County Department of Environment (WCDOE) from
January 1, 2018 to June 30, 2018. (CR 14-15)
11. AWARD OF BID: Public Service Division, re: for Aggregates (road gravel, slag
and stone) for the City’s 2018 calendar year requirements, from budgeted funds.
12. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE ONE (1) TORO
GROUNDSMASTER 3505-D, MODEL NUMBER 30849 THROUGH THE STATE
OF MICHIGAN BID PROCESS: Public Service Division, re: to replace an older
unit which will be disposed of through auction process, from budgeted funds.

13. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE FIVE (5) TORO ZERO
TURN MOWERS (ZTR) – 5000 MODEL #74933 THROUGH THE STATE OF
MICHIGAN BID PROCESS: Public Service Division, re: to replace five (5)
comparable units which will be disposed of through auction process, from
budgeted funds.
14. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE TWO (2) JOHN DEERE
2025R UTILITY TRACTORS THROUGH THE STATE OF MICHIGAN BID
PROCESS: Public Service Division, re: to replace two (2) comparable units
which will be disposed of through auction process, from budgeted funds.
15. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE FOUR (4) JOHN DEERE
HPX615E TURF VEHICLES (GATORS) THROUGH THE STATE OF MICHIGAN
BID PROCESS: Public Service Division, re: to replace four (4) comparable units
which will be disposed of through auction process, from budgeted funds.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
16. PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE LIVONIA CODE OF ORDINANCES, AS
AMENDED: Department of Law, re: of Title 13, Chapter 42 (Fats, Oils and
Grease) Section 090, in order to ensure enforcement that restaurants, bakeries
and other food processors properly dispose of fats, oils and grease.
17. WAIVER PETITION: Planning Commission, re: Petition 2017-11-02-15
submitted by BJ’s Restaurant, Inc., to utilize an SDM liquor license (sale of
packaged beer and wine) in connection with the operations of a full-service
restaurant (BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse) located on the east side of Haggerty
Road between Seven Mile and Eight Mile Roads (19470 Haggerty Road), in the
Southwest ¼ of Section 6.

18. ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT OF EASEMENT: Department of Law, re: secured
without monetary consideration from Leo Soave, for a variable width public utility
easement in connection with the development of a new sanitary sewer located at
11850 Adams Ct. in the Southwest ¼ of Section 30. (Tax I.D. No.119-99-0032-
004)
19. ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT OF EASEMENT: Department of Law, re: secured
without monetary consideration from Leo Soave, for a variable width public utility
easement in connection with the development of a new storm sewer located at

20. REQUEST TO SCHEDULE A CLOSED COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
MEETING: Department of Law, re: for the purpose of discussing the purchase
of real property located at 35100 Curtis Road in Livonia, Michigan.
21. REQUEST TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION TO DECLARE THAT UNLAWFUL
DISTRIBUTION OF PRESCRIPTION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES HAS
CREATED A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND A SERIOUS PUBLIC HEALTH AND
SAFETY CRISIS FOR THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA: Department
of Law, re: same.
