HomeMy WebLinkAboutPLANNING MINUTES 1981-04-21 /459 "111111•,_ ..0106-1' kL 459 ' MINUTES OF THE 411th REGULAR MEETING HELD BY THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA 1 On Tuesday, April 21 , 1981 the City Planning Commission of the City of Livonia held 4 its 411th Regular Meeting in the Livonia City Hall , 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan. Mr. Daniel R. Andrew, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. Members present: Daniel R. Andrew C. Russell Smith Jerome Zimmer Joseph J. Falk Donald Vyhbalek Herman Kluver Members absent: Judith Scurto Robert L. Morrow Sue Sobolewski Messrs. H. G. Shane, Assistant Planning Director, and Ralph H. Bakwell , Planner IV, were also present. On a motion duly made by Mr. Kluver, seconded by Mr. Falk and unanimously adopted, it was #4-71-81 RESOLVED that, pursuant to Act 285 of the Public Acts of Michigan, 1931 , as amended, the City Planning Commission does hereby establish and order that a public hearing be held to determine whether or not to amend Part II of the Master Plan of the City of Livonia , the Master Civic Center Plan, by rearranging the location of certain buildings, uses, parking lots and traffic patterns designated on i: the Plan, the subject Plan being the adopted development plan for properties located within the Civic Center area located on the southeast corner of Five Mile and Farmington Roads in Section 22. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that, notice of time and place of said hearing shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Livonia and a notice by registered United States mail shall be sent to each public utility or railroad company owning or operating any public utility or railroad within the City of Livonia in accordance with the provisions of Act 285 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1931 , as amended. Mr. Andrew, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution adopted. On a motion duly made by Mr. Smith, seconded by Mr. Kluver and unanimously adopted, it was ##4-72-81 RESOLVED that, pursuant to Act 285 of the Public Acts of Michigan, 1931 , as amended, the City Planning Commission does hereby establish and order that a public hearing be held to determine whether or not to amend Part III of the Master Plan of the City of Livonip, the Subdivision Rules and Regulations, to incorporate controls for cluster mailboxes in new subdivisions. On a motion duly made by Mr. Vyhnalek, seconded by Mr. Falk and unanimously adopted, it was #4-73-81 RESOLVED that, the minutes of the 410th Regular Meeting and Public Hearings held by the City Planning Commission on April 7, 1981 are approved. Mr. Andrew, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution adopted. On a motion duly made by Mr. Smith, seconded by Mr. Kluver and unanimously adopted, it was #4-74-81 RESOLVED that, the City Planning Commission does hereby approve the Landscape Plan submitted in connection with a condition of approval of Petition 78-5-8-9 requesting approval of all plans required by Section 8.02 of Zoning Ordinance #543, as amended by Ordinance #1243, in connection with a proposal to construct a multi-family housing project on the west side of Farmington Road between Curtis and Pickford in Section 9, subject to the following conditions: I (1 ) that Landscape Plan #8170, dated 3/16/81 , prepared by Kapila & Associates, which is hereby approved shall be adhered to; and (2) that all landscape materials as shown on the approved plan shall be installed on the site before issuance of . any Certificate of Occupancy and thereafter permanently maintained in a healthy condition. Mr. Andrew, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution adopted.
