MINUTES OF THE 323rd SPECIAL MEETING HELD BY THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA On Tuesday, September 19, 1978 the City Planning Commission of the City of Livonia held its 323rd Special Meeting in the Engineering Building, 13325 Farmington Road, Livonia, Michigan. Mr. Daniel R. Andrew, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 8:35 p.m. Member's present: Daniel R. Andrew 3ud&ith Scurto " Jerome Zimmer Robert L. Morrow Joseph J . Falk Esther Friedrichs. C. Russell Smith Members absent: Suzanne Wisler Herman Kluver Messrs. John J. Nagy, Planning Director, and Ralph H. Bakewell , Planner IV, were also present. On a motion duly made by Mrs . Friedrichs and seconded by Mr. Falk, it was #9-206-78 RESOLVED that, pursuant to Section 18.47 of Ordinance #543, the Zoning Ordinance, as amended by Ordinance #990, the City Planning Commission does hereby recommend to the City Council that Petition 78-7-8-23 by Rosenberg & Waronoff requesting approval of all plans required by Section 18.47 in connection with a proposal to construct the Mid-7 110 Shopping .Plaza on the east side of Middlebelt Road between Clarita and Pickford in Section 12, be approved subject to the following conditions: (1 ) that Site Plan 1001 -M, revised 9/19/78, prepared by A. Waronoff, Architect, which is hereby approved shall be adhered to; (2) that Building Elevations as shown on Plan 1001-M, revised 9/19/78, showing the use of full brick on the north and southwalls, pre- pared by A. Waronoff, Architect, which are hereby approved shall be adhered to; (3) that Landscape Plan dated 9/18/78, prepared by Harold Thomas Nursery, which is hereby approved shall be adhered to; (4) that all landscaping as shown on the approved Landscape Plan, includ- ing a sprinkling system, shall be installed on the site before issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy and thereafter permanently maintained in a healthy condition; (5) that any wall signs proposed to be attached to the building shall be limited in height so as not to exceed 500 of the vertical height of of the wall facia and shall be individual letters, non-illuminated; (6) that the rear wall (east) shall be painted the same as , or a color complementary to, the color of the brick used on the building; and t0 - (7) that Clarita Avenue shall be improved by the petitioner from Middle- belt Road easterly 269 feet with a 2-1/2" asphalt cap, 24 feet wide, as approved by the Engineering Division of the City of Livonia. • 6821 ' ILA' roll call vote on the foregoing resolution resulted in the following: AYES: Friedrichs, Smith, Zimmer, Falk, Morrow, Andrew NAYS: Scurto ABSENT: Wisler, .Kluver, Mr., Andrew, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution adopted. On a motion duly made by Mr. Zimmer and seconded by Mr. Morrow, it was #9-207-78 RESOLVED that, pursuant to Sedt-ion 18.58 of Ordinance #543, the Zoning Ordinance, as amended by Ordinance #1306, the City Planning Commission does hereby approve the Landscape Plan submitted in connection with a condition of approval of Petition 78-8-8-25P by Ronald H. LaFrance re- questing approval of all plans required by Section 18.58 in connection with a proposal to construct a professional office building on the south side of Six Mile Road between Middlebelt and Merriman Roads in Section 14, subject 'to the following conditions: (1) that Landscape Plan dated 9/19/78, prepared by Harold Thomas Nursery, which is hereby approved shall be adhered to; and (2) that all landscape materials as shown on the approved Landscape Plan shall be installed on the site before issuance of a Certifi- cate of Occupancy for the building. A roll call vote on the foregoing resolution resulted in the following: 1[10 AYES: Friedrichs, Smith, Zimmer, Falk, Morrow, Andrew NAYS: Scurto ABSENT: Wisler, Kluver ` Mr. Andrew, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution adopted.
