MINUTES OF THE 295th SPECIAL MEETING .
HELD BY THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA

On Tuesday, December 4, 1973 the City Planning Commission of the City of Livonia held
its 295th Special Meeting in the. Engineering Building, 13325 Farmington Road, Livonia,
Michigan.
Mr. Daniel R. Andrew, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 11:50 p.m.
Members present: Daniel R. Andrew Joseph J. Falk Francis M. Hand
Charles Pinto Suzanne Taylor Esther Friedrichs
David Merrion Joseph R. Talbot Herman H. Kluver
Members absent: None
Messrs. John J. Nagy, Planning Director; Ralph H. Bakewell, Planner IV; H. G. Shane,
v" Planner IV; Robert M. Feinberg, Assistant City Attorney, and James L. Bates, Planner
III, were also present.
On a motion duly made by Mr. Pinto, seconded by Mr. Falk and unanimously adopted,
it was
#12-295-73 RESOLVED that, pursuant to a letter dated November 27, 1973
from William P. Lindhout, Lindhout Associates, requesting an
extension of time relative to the submittal of a landscape plan
in connection with a condition of approval of Petition 72-8-8-22
by Lindhout Associates requesting approvalof all plans in con-
nection with the construction of a new office building on property
located on the west side of Farmington Road, south of Five Mile
Road in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 21, the City Planning Commis-
sion does hereby grant a six-month extension.
Mr. Andrew, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution
adopted.
On a motion duly made by Mr. Hand, seconded by Mrs. Friedrichs and unanimously adopted,
it was
#12-296-73 RESOLVED that, pursuant to a letter dated November 21, 1973 from
Arthur E. and Eugene F. Pulice requesting an extension of time
relative to the installation of landscape materials in connection
with a condition of approval of Petition 73-2-8-3P by Eugene F.
Pulice requesting approval of all plans required by Section 18.58
of Ordinance #543, as amended by Ordinance #988, in connection
with a proposal to construct speculative commercial buildings on
property located on the north side of Five Mile Road between
Harrison and Middlebelt in Section 13, the City Planning Commis-
sion does hereby grant an extension of time with the provision
that all landscape materials shall be installed by a date not
later than May 1, 1974.

adopted.

On a motion duly made by Mr. Pinto, seconded by Mr. Kluver and unanimously adopted,
it was
/ #12-297-73 RESOLVED that, pursuant to Section 18.58 of Ordinance #543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, as amended by Ordinance
#988, the City Planning Commission does hereby approve Petition
73-11-8-46P by Nathan Katz requesting approval of all plans
required by Section 18.58 submitted in connection with a pro-
posal to construct a storage addition to the House of Maple, Inc.,
located on the north side of Plymouth Road between Merriman and
Farmington Roads in Section 27, subject to the following conditions:
(1) That Site Plan dated 12/3/73, as signed by the petitioner,
Gerald Katz, which is hereby approved, shall be adhered to.
(2) That all landscaping as shown on the approved plan shall
be installed before issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy.
(3) That all landscaping installed shall be permanently main-
tained and kept in a healthy condition.
Mr. Andrew, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution
adopted.
On a motion duly made by Mr. Pinto, seconded by Mr. Kluver and unanimously adopted,
it was
#17-298-73 RESOLVED that, the City Planning Commission does hereby approve
Landscape Plan No. 073-1 submitted in connection with a condition
of approval of Petition 73-8-8-34P by William E. Kurtz requesting
approval of all plans required by Section 18.58 of Ordinance #543,
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, as amended by Ordinance
#988, in connection with a proposal to construct an addition to an
existing office building located on the north side of Schoolcraft
Road between Farmington Road and Hubbard in Section 22, subject
to the following conditions:
(1) That Landscape Plan No. 073-1, dated Nov. 15, 1973, which is
hereby approved, shall be adhered to.
(2) That all landscape materials as shown on the approved Land-
scape Plan shall be installed before issuance of a Certificate
of Occupancy.
(3) That all landscape materials installed shall be permanently
maintained and kept in a healthy condition.
Mr. Andrew, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution
adopted.
On a motion duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted, the City Planning Commis-
sion adjourned its 295th Special Meeting held on Tuesday,
