MINUTES OF THE 564th REGULAR MEETING
HELD BY THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION ON
�..,. August 30, 1988
On Tuesday, August 30, 1988, the City Planning Commission of the City of Livonia
held its 564th Regular Meeting in the Livonia City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive,
Livonia, Michigan.
Mr. Donald Vyhnalek, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m.
Members present: Donald Vyhnalek Herman Kluver Sue Sobolewski
R. Lee Morrow James C. McCann Jack Engebretson
Raymond W. Tent Brenda Lee Fandrei
Members absent: William LaPine
Messrs. John J. Nagy, Planning Director; H. G. Shane, Assistant Planning Director
and Ralph H. Bakewell, Planner IV, were also present.
On a motion duly made by Mr. McCann, seconded by Mrs. Fandrei and unanimously
adopted, it was
RESOLVED that, the City Planning Commission does hereby table Petition
88-7-2-28 by R & M Clinic requesting waiver use approval to establish a
child care center within an existing building located on the east side of
Levan Road between Five Mile Road and Jamison Drive in the Northeast 1/4
of Section 20 to the September 30, 1988 study meeting.
Mr. Vyhnalek, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution
adopted.
On a motion duly made by Mr. Morrow, seconded by Mr. Tent and unanimously adopted,
it was
418-159-88 RESOLVED that, pursuant to Section 12.08.030 of the Livonia Code of
Ordinances, the City Planning Commission does hereby establish and order
that a Public Hearing be held to determine whether or not to vacate a
portion of Westmore Avenue north of Five Mile, east of Farmington in the
Southwest 1/4 of Section 15.
AND THAT, notice of such hearing shall be given in accordance with the
provisions of Section 12.08.030 of the Livonia Code of Ordinances, as
amended.
Mr. Vyhnalek, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution
adopted.
On a motion made by Mr. Kluver, seconded by Mr. Morrow and unanimously adopted, it

118-160-88 RESOLVED that, pursuant to Section 12.08.030 of the Livonia Code of
Ordinances, the City Planning Commission does hereby establish and order
that a Public Hearing be held to determine whether or not to vacate an
'grow existing road right-of-way known as Scone Avenue located between I-96 and
Schoolcraft Road, east of Eckles in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 19.
AND THAT, notice of such hearing shall be given in accordance with the
provisions of Section 12.08.030 of the Livonia Code of Ordinances, as
amended.
Mr. Vyhnalek, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution
adopted.
On a motion duly made by Mr. Kluver, seconded by Mr. Engebretson and unanimously
adopted, it was
118-161-88 RESOLVED that the City Planning Commission does hereby approve Landscape
Plan submitted in connection with Petition 87-9-8-28 by John DelSignore
for site plan approval to construct a banquet hall on the north side of
Schoolcraft between I-96 Freeway and Eckles Road in the Southwest 1/4 of
Section 19 subject to the following conditions:
(1) That the Revised Site and Landscape Plan, which relocates the
driveway and omits the sidewalk, dated August 5, 1988 prepared by
Kamp-DiComo Associates is hereby approved and shall be adhered to;
(2) That the landscaping be installed on site before building occupancy
and thereafter maintained in a healthy condition.

Mr. Vyhnalek, Chairman, declared the motion is carried and the foregoing resolution
adopted.
On a motion duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted, the 564th Regular Meeting
held by the City Planning Commission on August 30, 1988 was adjourned at
8:10 p.m.
