LIVONIA TRAFFIC COMMISSION
The 685`" Regular meeting of the Livonia Traffic Commission was held in the third floor conference room at
City Hall on Thursday, March 14, 2013; it was called to order by Chairman Joe Steele.
PRESENT: Commissioners: John Katers, Gordon Draper, Gordon St John and Jim Policelli and City of
Livonia Police Officer: Sergeant John Gibbs.
Visitor Attending: Kristine Broxton, 19627 Brady, Redford (student at Redford High School).
Agenda Item 1: The minutes of the February 14 2013, meeting was reviewed.
Upon a motion by Gordon Draper and seconded by John Katers, it was approved by unanimous vote that:
13-116 RESOLVED, the commission minutes from February 14, 2013, are approved as prevented.
Agenda Item 2: Review of traffic control orders (TCO) on signage prior to and during construction of I-96.
This discussion resulted in the need In understand the construction schedule, bridge and road closures and
perhaps temporary suspension of TCO's. Joe will contact City of Livonia Engineer Todd Zilincik In arrange this
presentation at a future meeting.
Agenda Item 3: Removal of handicapped child sign at 37235 Kingsbuun and Newburgh Street (section 8). An
old out-of-date sign that is no longer needed should be removed. Upon a motion by Gordon Draper and
seconded by Gordon St John, it was approved by unanimous vote that:
13-117 RESOLVED, to remove the handicapped child sign at 37235 Kingsburn Street (section 8).
Upon a motion by Gordon St. John and seconded by Gordon Draper, it was approved by unanimous vote that:
13-115 RESOLVED, that Chairman Joe Steele sign and approve Traffic Control Orders (TCO)
95-6 and 13-1.
RESOLVED, that the meeting he adjourned at 8:10 pm.
