LIVONIA TRAFFIC COMMISSION
The 678`" Regular meeting of the Livonia Traffic Commission was held in the third floor conference room at
City Hall on Thursday, June 14, 2012; it was called to order by Chairman Joe Steele.
PRESENT: Commissioners: John Katers, Gordon St. John, Kevin Priddy, Gordon Draper, Jim Policelli along
with Police Officer: Sergeant John Gibbs.
Agenda Item 1: The minutes of the May 10, 2012, meeting was reviewed.
Upon a motion by Gordon Draper, seconded by John Eaters, it was approved by unanimous vote that:
12-91 RESOLVED, the commission minutes from May 10, 2012, are approved as prevented.
Agenda Rem 2: Request from YusufAbdulhusein for "No Parking" signs on Purlingbrook and St Martins
(section 2). No representative supporting this request was present. Therefore, no further action will be taken at
this time.
Agenda Item 3: Av e-mail request from James Mason for speed limit signs on Omngelawn between
Farmington and Stark roads (section 33). After a brief discussion it was agreed signs should be installed on
Orangelawn. Upon a motion from Kevin Priddy, seconded by Jim Policelh and approved by unanimous vote
that:
12-92 RESOLVED that 25 mph speed fimit signs he installed on Orangelawu (just west of
Farmington Road and east of Stark Road).
Agenda Item 4: Request from Elliot Schubiener for `No Parking" signs on Morlock Avenue outside Apple
Ridge Apartment on Merriman, south of Eight Mile Road. After a lengthy discussion regarding placement and
time limit of the signs, it was agreed that time limit signs should be installed on parking stalls outside of the
apartment offices. Upon a motion from Gordon Draper, seconded by Kevin Priddy and approved by unanimous
vote that:
12-93 RESOLVED in install "30 Minute Parking Only" signs on Morlock Avenue at the
apartment office.
12-94 RESOLVED that Chairman Joe Steele sign and approve Traffie Control Order (TCO) 12-08.
RESOLVED, that the meeting he adjourned at 8:30 pm.
