Motion 10-27 -1 was made by D Spurling and seconded by J Valentine to approve the
minutes of the meeting held on September 22, 2015 Approved
Treasurer Report:
Swish – $13 72 left in General Fund Total Revenue collected from Fine Arts Exhibition
was $2,530 Total cost of Fine Arts reception including awards was $5,395 Year to date
total spent out of Trust account is $8,140
Motion 10-27-2 was made to Approved by D Spurling and second by Eno to received
and filed Approved
Gallery/City Hall
Gallery
Karczewski- Gallery–October is exhibiting the 18th Fine Arts Exhibition Pick up by Artist
and teardown is Thursday 10-29-15 from 3 to 7 pm The November show is Schoolcraft
College teachers and staff
J/P Valentine- City Hall Lobby-
Jon Lange's art is hanging in the Lobby in October Joan Haber, Art Teacher from
Holmes Middle School, will display student art work in November There will be a short
reception on Tuesday 11-17-15 at 6 00 pm in the City Hall Atrium Commissioners are
encouraged to attend before the Commission meeting City Hall Lobby is booked until
Dec 2017

the Fine Arts Reception ta Facebook, and were sent to the Observer A video af all af
the exhibitars is on Facebook. The Arts Commiss�on Scholarship application �s posted
onto Facebook. Counselors from Churchill HS have the information Leeper also
adverkised an #he Michigan Youth Arts Website �eeper wo�ld like to da a Meet the
Commissioners segments during the Arts Commission dawntime in the winter

Environmental Sculpture
The cammission received of q�ate af$1,125 from Mobile Blast to sandblast#he railings
The commission would like to find outside resources to help pay for this This will be
reassessed later in 2016 to discuss a whole revitalizatian of the area.
Wine tast�ng-Still invest�gating
Arts & Crafts Show— Commission agrees that a promoter needs ta be brought in to help
renew this event.
New Business
Reflectians Commission will jury the contest after the Friday December 11t'' meeting

Reappointments Eno, J Valentine and P Valentine have been re-appointed to the
Arts Commission
