MINUTES OF THE THIRTEENTH SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA
On January 2, 1952, above meeting was held at 33110 Five Mile Road,
Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order at approximately 8:14 P. M. by the
President of the Council, Harry S Wolfe Roll was called with the following
result. Present-- Harry S Wolfe, Wilson W Edgar, Raymond E Grimm, Nettie
Carey, Harvey Jahn, William Taylor and John Whitehead Absent-- None
A discussion took place as to the adbisability of extending the
time for paying taxes without penalty
By Councilman Taylor, seconded by Councilman Jahn and unanimously
adopted as follows, it was.
1910 02 RESOLVED, that in view of the fact that the City of
Livonia is a new city, and all of the people have not had an
opportunity to become familiar with the date upon which a tax
penalty can be charged, and because of the failure or delay
L of the post offices in delivering tax bills, and in view of
other pertinent circumstances considered by the Council, the
period of time in which taxes may be paid without penalty be
and hereby is extended until the expiration of the month of
February, 1952.
The result of the roll call vote on the foregoing resolution was as follows:
AYES• Grimm, Jahn, Edgar, Carey, Taylor, Whitehead
and Wolfe.
NAYS : None
By Councilman Whitehead, seconded by Councilman Grimm and unanimously
adopted as follows, it was :
RESOLVED, that this special meeting be adjourned
to 9.00 P M on Monday, January 7, 1952
The meeting was accordingly adjourned at 8.40 P M , January 2, 1952
