MINUTES OF THE EIGHTH SPECIAL MFFTING
Tn OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA
On July 2, 1951, above meeting was held at 33110 Five Mile Road,
Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order at approximately 10:10 P M , by the
President of the Council, Harry S Wolfe Roll was called with the following
result. Present-- Harry S Wolfe, WilsonW Edgar, Raymond E Grimm, Nettie
Carey, Harvey Jahn, William Taylor and John :Whitehead Absent-- None
By Councilman Edgar, seconded by Councilman Jahn and unanimously
adopted as follows, it was:
-sem" ' RESOLVED,OLVED, that the Livonia Police Department having
approved a transfer of 1951 S D11 License with living quarters
permit from Jesse C and Mary B Finnie, 29211 Fenkell, Detroit,
Michigan, to Walter and Marguerite Gehringer, pursuant to request
stated in communication from Liquor Control Commission dated
May 15, 1951, the City Council of the City of Livonia does hereby
1 approve said transfer
By Councilman Taylor, seconded by Councilman Whitehead and unanimously
adopted as follows, it was:
/1- 533 RESOLVED, that the Livonia Police Department having
approved a transfer of a 1950 Class C License from Clarence B
and Cecil E Smith, 34835 Plymouth Road, to Vincent S Veltman,
pursuant to communication from Liquor Control Commission dated
April 24, 1951, said transfer is hereby approved by the City
Council of the City of Livonia, provided, however, that this
approval is on the condition that said license be used at the
old address of 34835 Plymouth Road, and, provided further, that
the transfer of location is hereby disapproved
By Councilman Edgar, seconded by Councilman Carey and unanimously
adopted as follows, it was :
RESOLVED, that the City Engineer, Herald Hamill, is hereby
instructed to prepare and present to the Council, for its consideration,
a schedule or statement of minimum requirements, plans and standard
specifications for all utilities and improvements, including streets,
sidewalks, water, sewers, and street signs, to be installed and con-
F. structed in any new subdivision within the City of Livonia prior to
the final approval of a proposed plat of such subdivision

On motion of Councilman Jahn, seconded by Councilman Taylor and

unanimously passed, the meeting was adjourned at 10:55 P II , July 2, 1951

By Councilman Taylor, seconded by Councilman Whitehead and unanimously
adopted as follows, it was:
/1- 53.3 RESOLVED, that the Livonia Police Department having
approved a transfer of a 1950 Class C License from Clarence B
and Cecil E Smith, 34835 Plymouth Road, to Vincent S Veltman,
pursuant to communication from Liquor Control Commission dated
April 24, 1951, said transfer is hereby approved by the City
Council of the City of Livonia; provided, however, that this
