MINUTES OF THE SECOND SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA
AUGUST 26, 1950
The second special meeting of the Council of the City of Livonia was
held on August 26, 1950, at the City Hall, 33110 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan
at 12:30 P M
In the absence of the President of the Council, Wilson W Edgar, Vice
President presided over the meeting. Roll was called with the following result:
Present Wilson W. Edgar, Raymond E Grimm, Harvey Jahn, Nettie Carey, William
Taylor and John Whitehead Absent--Harry S Wolfe
Mayor Jesse Ziegler explained that this special meeting was called in
order that he might report to the Council the result of his negotiations for the
purchase of Lot 308 of Grennada Park Subdivision No. 1, and in order that the
Council might take such action thereon as it might deem proper
Councilman Harvey Jahn made a motion that the following resolution be
adopted.
A I1,P RESOLVED; that the City of Livonia purchase from Raymond M.
Fuhrman and Annabelle J Fuhrman, his wife, Lot 308 of Grennada Park
Subdivision No 1 of part of the northwest 1/1 of Section 22, Town 1
South, Range 9 East, Livonia Township, Wayne County, Michigan, according
to the plat thereof as recorded in Liber 54 on Page 77 in the office
of the Wayne County Register of Deeds; for a cash consideration of
$500 00; and that the City Treasurer disburse said sum on receipt of a
proper Warranty Deed; and that the mayor and other officers of the City
take such other action as may be necessary to complete this transaction
Councilman Nettie Carey seconded the foregoing motion and a roll call vote was
taken with the following result:
YEAS Wilson W Edgar, Raymond E Grimm, Harvey Jahn,
Nettie Carey, William. Taylor, and John Whitehead;
NAYS- None
The Vice President declared the foregoing resolution passed.

On motion of Councilman Raymond E Grimm, seconded by Councilman William
Taylor and unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned at 1:03 P M
