Present-- Harry S Wolfe, Wilson W. Edgar, Raymond E Grimm, Nettie Carey, John Whitehead and William Taylor Absent-- harvey ,Jahn By Councilman Edgar, seconded by Councilman Taylor and unanimously adopted as follows, it was #62 RMSOLVED, that the hour of 8 30 P . having arrived, the period of time for receiving bids on the new city hall having expired, the City Clerk is directed to open and read all bids received The City Clerk thereupon opened and read all bids received as follows. Jones and Rupert Otto appeared before the Council and submitted information on the School District They were informed that suet' information could be considered individually by members of the Council, but could not be officially acted upon by the Council The matter of the relocation of the Bell Drain, with the consent of all present, was set for further consideration on May 26, 1952 Page 794 James L Hagen, Director of Public Safety, appeared before the Council and 111 recommended that the Fire Department be authorized to accept early delivery of the new fire engine which has been ordered t-.r Hagen stated that as soon as the engine is delivered, proceedings can be taken to substantially reduce the insurance rates in the central area of the city By Councilman Grimm, seconded by Councilman Taylor and unanimously adopted as follows, it was #64 RESOLVED, that the Fire Department accept delivery as soon as possible of the fire engine ordered from La France Foamite Company The report of the (Justice of the Peace for the month of April, 1952, was received and placed on file By Councilman Carey, seconded by Councilman Taylor and unanimously adopted as follows, it was #65 RESOLVED that, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No 31, as amended, and Ordinance No 46, the City Assessor is hereby directed to prepare an amended assessment roll for Special Assessment District No 3.
