HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1957-03-14 ADJOURNED NECESSITY LIGHTING Page 2755 MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNA D PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING THE NECESSITY OF INSTALLING STREET LIGHTING. IN PORTIONS OF SECTIONS 34, 35, 36. March 14, 1957. The above meeting was called to order by the President at approximately 8:07 P. M., at the Livonia City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road. Councilmen Grant, Ventura, Daugherty and Kleinert were present. The City Clerk, Marie W. Clark, read a petition received March 6, 1957, from residents on Merriman Road asking that their street be deleted from the public lighting program, The results of a ballot taken by the Bel afire Civic Association on the subject of street lighting was read as follows: For Street Lights 197 Against Street Lights 190 Total Votes 387 16. Not Voting 137 For Metal Poles 253 For Wooden Poles 111 Questions and comments by the people present were given due consideration by the Council. On motion of Councilman Kleinert, seconded by Councilman Daugherty and unanimously adopted, the puolic hearing was duly adjourned at 8:28 P. LI March 14, 1957. " W. Clark, City Clerk
