MINUTES OF THE SEVENTY-FIRST SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA
ir. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8, Chapter IV of the City Charter,
the above meeting was held on January 29, 1962, at 33001 Five Mile head, Livonia,
Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at approximately
9:52 P. M. Roll was called with the following results Present-- Sydney B. Bagnall,
John T. Daugherty, William N. Ponder, Rudolf R. Kleinert, Jack Salvadore and
James R. McCann. Absent-- Austin T. Grant.
By Councilman Kleinert, seconded by Councilman Salvadore and unanimously
adopted, it was
#88-62 RESOLVED that, pursuant to Section 6 of Chapter VIII of the
Charter of the City of Livonia, the Board of Review (Tax Assessments)
shall convene for its first session on Tuesday, March 6; Wednesday,
March 7, and Friday, March 9,1962; and that such Board shall convene
for its second session on Monday, March 19; Tuesday, March 20 and
Wednesday, March 21, 1962, at the Municipal Court Building, 33211 Seven
Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, during the hours of 9:00 o'clock A. M.,
through 4:30 o'clock P. M., except on Monday, March 19th, when the hours
shall be 1:00 o'clock P. M., through 6:00 o'clock P. M., on each of said
dates; and such additional meetings as may be necessary; excepting further,
that on March 7th and March 21st, the sessions shall also be held between
the hours of 7100 o'clock P. M., and 9:00 o'clock P. M.
By Councilman Kleinert, seconded by Councilman Ponder and unanimously
adopted, it was
#89-62 RESOLVED that, having considered the letter dated January 25,
1962, from the Michigan Liquor Control Commission addressed to Mr. Benjamin
J. Mrkva, the Council does hereby approve the request from Benjamin J. Mrkva,
23201 Oak Street, Dearborn, Michigan, for a new Class C license to be
located on Middlebelt Road, south of Five Mile Road, the N. 10' of lot 12
and all of lots 13, 14, 15 and the S. 10' of lot 16 of Five-Elm Park Sub-
division, East side of Middlebelt Road, Livonia, Michigan.
On motion of Councilman Kleinert, seconded by Councilman Daugherty and
unanimously adopted, this 71st special meeting of the Council of the City of Livonia
was duly adjourned at 9:57 P.M., January 29, 1962.
