MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON NECESSITY OF INSTALLING
STREET LIGHTING IN A PORTION OF BELLE MAR SUBDIVISION
On October 21, 1963, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five
Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council
at approximately 8103 P. M. Present-- Sydney B. Bagnall, William E. Parks, Rudolf R.
Kleinert, John F. Dooley, Edward H. McNamara and James R. McCann. Absent-- John T.
Daugherty.
Elected and appointed officials present: Marie W. Clark, City Clerk; and
William J. Strasser, Chief City Engineer.
The President stated that pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 401,
of the City of Livonia entitled "An Ordinance to Frovide for the Making of Public
Improvements, Defraying the Expense Thereof by Special Assessment and a Special
Assessment Procedure," and likewise pursuant to a Notice of Public Hearing duly
published and sent to property owners in accordance with Section 3.011 of said
Ordinance No. 101, the City Council was opening a Public Hearing for the purpose
of determining the necessity of installing street lighting on portions of Oakview
and Jacqueline Streets in Belle Mar Subdivision in the Southeast if k of Section 23
in the City of Livonia.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
There being no further comments, the Public Hearing was declared closed
at approximately 8:1t7 P. M., October 21, 1963.
