HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1964-11-09 NECESSITY MELVIN AVE Page 6848 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON NECESSITY FOR INSTALLING STREET LIGHTING ON MELVIN AVENUE IN SECTION 2, CITY OF LIVONIA On November 9, 1964, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at approximately 8s00 o'clock p. m. Present: Rudolf R. Kleinert, Peter A. Ventura, Daniel C. Allen and Edward H. McNamara. Absent: John T. Daugherty, John F. Dooley and James h. McCann. The President stated that pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 401, of the City of Livonia, entitled "An Ordinance to Provide for the Making of Public Improvements, Defraying the Expense Thereof by Special Assessment and a Special Assessment Procedure," and likewise pursuant to a Notice of Public Hearing dzly published and sent to property owners in accordance with Section 3.04 of said Or- dinance No. 14.01, the City Council was opening a public hearing for the purpose of determining the necessity of installing street lights on Melvin Avenue between Eight Mile Road and Bretton Street in the Northeast i/4 of Section 2, City of Livonia. Questions, comments and communications from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council. There being no further comments, the public hearing was declared closed at approximately 8:25 P. M., November 9, 1964. _I Addison W.Bacon, City perk
