MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON TWO ZONING PETITIONS
On February 8, 1967, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001
Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the Vice President
of the Council at approximately 8:10 P. M. Present--Robert F. Nash, *Rudolf R.
Kleinert, Edward H. McNamara, and Edward G. Milligan. Absent--Peter A. Ventura,
Jerry Raymond, and Jack Salvadore.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed changes and all
other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The Vice President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth
in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City
Zoning Act, (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding
a public hearing relative to requests for two changes of zoning within the City.
Petition No. 66-7-1-18, for change of zoning in Section 13 from RUF to P
(Parking), submitted by Forest Lawrence, 27005 Lyndon, Detroit, Michigan, 48239.
There were five people in the audience.
Clarence Charest, attorney, spoke in behalf of the petitioner and there
were no other comments from the audience regarding this petition.
*Councilman Kleinert entered the hearing at 8:22 P. M.
Petition 66-9-6-11, submitted by the City Planning Commission to determine
whether or not to amend Section 18.38 (5) of Ordinance No. 543, to modify present
parking requirements for convalescent homes.
There were six people in the audience.
There being no comments or objections from the audience, the public hearing
was declared closed at 8:28 P. M., February 8, 1967.
