MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS
LOn December 14, 1966, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001
Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the
Council at approximately 8:18 P. M. Present--Peter A. Ventura, Rudolf R. Kleinert,
Edward H. McNamara, *Jerry Raymond, and Edward G. Milligan. Absent--Robert F. Nash
and Jack Salvadore.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to
the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed changes and
all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been ful-
filled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City
Zoning Act, (M.B.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia was
holding a Public Hearing relative to requests for various changes of zoning within
the City.
There were approximately eighty people present for the first two petitions.
Petition No. 66-6-1-16, for change of zoning in Section 1 from RUF to C-2,
submitted by Stanley B. Friedman for Borman Food Stores, Inc., 12300 Mark Twain,
Detroit, Michigan.
Mr. Friedman spoke on behalf of the petitioner and there were no other
comments regarding this petition.
Petition No. 66-6-1-15, for change of zoning in Section 3 from RUFA to ML,
submitted by Naldo Bucci for Rocwall Company, 31675 W. 8 Mile, Livonia, Michigan.
.-Councilman Raymond was excused at 8:40 P. M. for the balance of the hearing.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
Petition 66-7-1-19, for change of zoning in Section 24 from RUF to C-1,
submitted by Vincent L. Burton.

Petition No. 66-7-1-17, for change of zoning in Section 10 from R-1 to PS,
submitted by John F. Dooley and John R. Wilder, 27582 Schoolcraft, Livonia, Michigan.
There were approximately ten people present.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
Petition No. 66-8-1-23, for change of zoning in Section 1 from RUF to C-2,
initiated by the Planning Commission.
There were no comments from the audience regarding this petition.
There being no further comments, the Public Hearing was declared closed at
approximately 10:31 P. M., December 14, 1966.
