HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1967-03-01 NECESSITY IDYLE HILLS 8524 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON NECESSITY RELATIVE TO INSTALLING STREET LIGHTS IN IDYLE HILLS ESTATES SUB. AND IDYLE HILLS ESTATES SUB. NO. 2 AND NO. 3 On March 1, 1967, the above Hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the Chairman, Councilman Kleinert, at approximately 8:40 P. M. Present--Rudolf R. Kleinert, Edward H. McNamara, and Edward G. Milligan. Absent--Peter A. Ventura, Jerry Raymond, Robert F. Nash, and Jack Salvadore. The Chairman stated that pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 401, as amended, of the City of Livonia, entitled "An Ordinance to Provide for the Making of Public Improvements, Defraying the Expense Thereof by Special Assessment and a Special Assessment Procedure", and likewise pursuant to a Notice of Public Hearing duly published and sent to property owners in accordance with said Ordinance No. 401, as amended, the City Council was opening a Public Hearing for the purpose of deter- mining the necessity for the installation of street lights in Idyle Hills Estates Subdivision and Idyle Hills Estates Subdivisions No. 2 and No. 3 in Section 16 in the City of Livonia. There were eight people in the audience. Representatives of the Idyle Hills Civic Association stated that a petition had been presented to the Council indicating 93% of the residents objected to the proposed street lights. Questions and Comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk. There being no further comments, the Public Hearing was declared closed at 8:50 P. M., March 1, 1967. LADDISON W. BACiF41111111plerk
