HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1968-03-18 PETITION 1966-07-01-22 9354 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS On March 18, 1968, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the Vice President of the Council at approximately 8:00 P. M. Present--Robert F. Nash, Edward H. McNamara, *Jerry Raymond, and Edward G. Milligan. Absent--Peter A. Ventura, Rudolf R. Kleinert, and Jack Salvadore. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other require- ments of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The Vice President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public L hearing relative to requests for changes in the Zoning Ordinance. Petition 66-7-1-22, submitted by Rodney Kropf, attorney in behalf of Frank J. Volk, for a change of zoning in Section 7 from R-5-C to R-7. There were approximately twenty people in the audience. *Councilman Raymond arrived at 8:15 P. M. Mr. Kropf spoke in behalf of the petitioner. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk. Petition 67-9-1-32, submitted by Carl W. Riegal for a change of zoning in Section 27 from C-1 and M-2 to C-2. There were five people in the audience. Mr. Riegal spoke in his behalf. There were no other comments regarding this petition from the audience. 9355 LPetition 67-10-1-33, submitted by Rodney C. Kropf, attorney in behalf of Stanley E. and Gladys B. Hayes, for a change of zoning in Section 23 from RUFA to C-2. There were five people in the audience. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
