MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS
LOn September 17, 1969, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five
Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council
at 7:25 P. M. Present: Edward H. McNamara, Rudolf R. Kleinert, Peter A. Ventura,
Robert E. McCann, and Robert F. Nash. Absent: Jerry Raymond and Edward G. Milligan.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hear-
ing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed changes and all other
requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City
Zoning Act, (M.B.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is
Lholding a public hearing relative to requests for various changes of zoning within
the City.
Robert Menzies of the Planning Department explained the petitions to the
audience.
Petition 69-4-1-12 submitted by Brashear, Brashear & Duggan for Rocco and
Constance Ferrara for a change of zoning in Section 11 from PS to C-2.
Petition 69-5-6-12 submitted by City Planning Commission on its own motion
to determine whether or not to amend Ordinance No. 543, by adding Article XXXI, R-9
District Regulations (Housing for the Elderly).
Petition 69-4-1-13 submitted by the Altone Corporation for a change of zoning
in Section 33 from RUF to PS.
Questions and comments from those interested were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
The public hearing was declared closed at 7:55 P. M., September 17, 1969.
