Home My WebLink AboutELEC COMM 1981-08-12 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE ELECTION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA A meeting of the Election Commission of the City of Livonia was held on August 121 1981 at the Livonia Civic Center Building, 33000 Civic Center Drive, at approximately 9 05 A. M., at which time and place the following members of the Com- mission were present. Edward H. McNamara Mayor Addison W. Bacon City Clerk Harry C. Tatigian City Attorney Pursuant to Section 5, Chapter III of the Charter of the City of Livonia, City Clerk Addison W. Bacon presided over the meeting as Chairman of the Commission. Upon a motion by Commissioner McNamara, supported by Commissioner Tatigian, it was RESOLVED, that the minutes of the meeting of April 22, 1981, be approved as submitted. A roll call vote was taken on the foregoing resolution with the following result AYES: McNamara, Tatigian and Bacon. NAYS. None. Upon a motion by Commissioner McNamara, supported by Commissioner Tatigian, and unanimously adopted, it was RESOLVED, that the Election Inspectors listed on the schedule attached hereto, and made a part of these minutes, are duly appointed to the City Election Boards for the Special Election to be held on September 15, 1981. Upon a motion by Commissioner McNamara, supported by Commissioner Tatigian, it was RESOLVED, that the compensation for the day of September 15, 1981 be at the rate of $3.35 per hour, a minimum of 15 hours for Election Inspectors, and for the Chairmen at the rate of $4+.00 per hour, a minimum of 15 hours, and further, that each appointed member required to attend an instruction meeting be reimbursed at the rate of S5.00 per meeting. A roll call vote was taken on the foregoing resolution with the following result- AYES: McNamara, Tatigian and Bacon. NAYS: None. Upon a motion by Commissioner McNamara, supported by Commissioner Bacon, and unanimously adopted, it was RESOLVED, that one (1) Absent Voter Counting Board is hereby established, and shall meet on day of the Election in the Civic Center Building, convening at 10:00 A.M. on the day of the Election for the purpose of processing Absent Voter Ballots. There being no further business to come before the Commission, the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned at approximately 9 25 A. M., August 12, 1981. Addison W.
