Home My WebLink AboutELEC COMM 1956-03-21 MINUTES OF MEETING OF ELECTION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA March 21, 1956 A meeting of the Election Commission of the City of Livonia was held on Wednesday, March 21, 1956, at 4:25 P. H., at 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, at which time all of the members of said Commission: Elbert M. Hartom - Mayor Marie W. Clark - City Clerk George D. Haller - City Attorney were present in person. Pursuant to Section 5, Chapter III of the Charter, the City Clerk presided over the meeting as Chairman of the Commission. Careful consideration was given to the matter of appointing a board of inspectors of election for each election precinct of the City, pursuant to Section L674 of Act 271 of the Public Acts of 1955, as amended, (Sec. 168.674, Mich. Stat. Ann.) to function as such at the Biennial Spring Election. By Mayor Hartom, seconded by Attorney Haller and unanimously adopted, it was RESOLVED, that said boards of election inspectors as above constituted shall, on members thereof taking and subscribing the con- stitutional oath of office, have all powers and duties provided by law as boards of election inspectors at the next election called for April 2, 1956; and that the salaries forthe inspectors of election who will serve on April 2, 1956, be as follows: Chairmen, $18.00 LInspectors, 316.00.
