A meeting of the Election Commission of the City of Livonia was held on Wednesday, February 8, 1956, at 2:00 P. M., at 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, at which time all of the members of said Commission: Elbert FL Hartom - Mayor Marie W. Clark - City Clerk George D. Haller - City Attorney were present in person. Pursuant to Section 5, Chapter III of the Charter, the City Clerk pre- sided over the meeting as Chairman of the Commission. Careful consideration was given to the matter of appointing a board of inspectors of election for each election precinct of the City, pursuant to Section 7, chapter 57 of the Michigan Election Law, as amended, (Sec. 6.338, Nacho Stat. Ann.) to function as such at the City Primary Election. A roll call vote was taken on the foregoing resolution with the following result: AYES: Hartom and Haller NAYS: Clark L Mrs. Clark made the following statement: I am not in favor of putting a member related to a City official on the election board. The Chairman declared the foregoing resolution adopted. There being no further business to come before the Commission, on motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned at 2:20 P.
