HomeMy WebLinkAboutELEC COMM 1955-02-11 MINUTES OF MEETING OF ELECTION CONYISSION OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA February 11, 1955 A meeting of the Election Commission of the City- of Livonia was held on Friday, February 11, 1955, at 9:00 A. M., at 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia Michigan, at which tine all of the members of said commission: Elbert M. Hartom - Mayor Marie W. Clark - City Clerk Russell C. Ashmore - City Attorney were present in person. Pursuant to Section 5, Chapter III of the Charter, the City Clerk presided over the meeting as Chairman of the commission. Careful consideration was given to the matter of appointing a board of inspectors of election for each election precinct of the City, pursuant to ism Section 7,Chapter 57 of the Michigan Election Law, as amended, (Sec. 6.338 Mich. Stat. Ann.) to function as such at the Biennial Spring Election. On motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried by the affirmative vote of all three members of the commission, it was RESOLVED, that the following respective persons are hereby appointed members of the following respective election precincts of the City of Livonia: 1. Hartgrove 14947 Sunbury Liv. 9602 FURTHER RESOLVED, that said boards of election inspectors as above constituted, shall, on the members thereof taking and sub- scribing the constitutional oath of office, have all powers and duties provided by law as boards of election inspectors at the next election called for February 21, 1955. On motion duly made by Mayor Hartom, supported by City Attorney Ashmore and unanimously adopted, it was RESOLVED, that the salaries for the inspectors of election who will serve on February 21, 1955, be as follows: Chairmen, $18.00, Inspectors, $16.00. There being no further business to come before the meeting, on motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned at 10:06 A. M., February 11, 1955. Marie W.
