March 11, 1970
A meeting of the Election Commission of the City of Livonia was held
March 11, 1970 at the Livonia City Hall at approximately 4 00 P M. at which
time and place the following members of said commission were present
Harvey W. Moelke Mayor
Harry C. Tatigian City Attorney
Addison W Bacon City Clerk
Pursuant to Section 5, Chapter III of the Charter of the City of
Livonia, City Clerk, Addison W. Bacon, presided over the meeting as Chairman
of the Commission.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Tatigian, supported by Commissioner
Moelke, and unanimously adopted, it was
RESOLVED, that the minutes of the Election Commission Meeting of
January 23, 1970 be approved as submitted.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Tatigian, supported by Commissioner
Moelke, and unanimously adopted, it was
RESOLVED, that the following list of Election Inspectors be
approved

Upon a motion by Commissioner Moelke, supported by Commissioner
Tatigian, and unanimously adopted, it was
RESOLVED, that upon the advice of the City Clerk that it is a
legal requirement to establish Counting Boards pursuant to Enrolled
Senate Bill #568, effective January 1, 1970, we therefore move to
establish two Counting Boards for this election and further, the
City Clerk having informed us there is sufficient funds in the
Budget for this purpose, we propose to locate these boards at the
Noble Library, providing same is available, and in the event it is
not a suitable alternate is to be made by the Clerk with a verbal
OK of the other commissioners.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Moelke, supported by Commissioner
Tatigian, and unanimously adopted, it was
RESOLVED, that all members of the Election Commission be notified
in writing in sufficient time so that they may plan to attend,
should they so desire, the instruction meeting of Inspectors, and
that they be furnished in advance Notice of Appointment, which
notice shall contain all names and signatures of all members of
the Election Commission.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Moelke, supported by Commissioner
Tatigian, and unanimously adopted, it was
RESOLVED, that this meeting stand adjourned at approximately 4 30 P.M.
