MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On January 20, 1975, the above hearing was held at the City Hall,
33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the Vice
President at 8 35 P M Present Jerry Brown, Robert E McCann, Robert D.
Bennett, Robert R Bishop, and Jerry Raymond Absent--Robert F Nash and Peter
A. Ventura.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to
the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and
all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been
fulfilled
The Vice President stated that in accordance with the provisions set
forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended,
the Zoning Act (M.S A Section 5 2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543,
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is
holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance
Petition No. 74-7-1-17 submitted by Rockwall Investment Company for a
change of zoning of property located on the East side of Osmus, North of Norfolk
Avenue in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 3, from RUF to R-7 (Rural Urban Farms to
Multiple Family Residential)
Petition No 74-9-1-27 submitted by the City Planning Commission on its
own motion for a change of zoning of property located South of Seven Mile Road
between Stamford and Filmore Avenues in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 9, from C-1
to R-3 (Local Business District to Family Residential District)
Petition No 74-9-1-30 submitted by the City Planning Commission on its
own motion for a change of zoning of property located at the Southwest corner of
Five Mile Road and Levan Road in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 20, from R-6 and C-1
to PO-I (Two Family Residential District and Local Business District to High Rise
Professional Office District)

Petition No 74-9-1-31 submitted by the City Planning Commission on its
own motion for a change of zoning of property located between Five Mile and
Schoolcraft Roads and between Levan on the east and Newburgh Road on the west, in
the West 1/4 of Section 20, from AG, R-6, R-7 and C-1 to RUF (General Agricultural
District, Two Family Residential District, Multiple Family Residential District and
Local Business District to Rural Urban Farm District)
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 10 08 P M , January 20, 1975.
