MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
LOn April 19, 1976, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001
Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by Councilman Raymond at
8 20 P. M. Present: Jerry Raymond, Jerry Brown, Robert R. Bishop and Robert D
Bennett. Absent Robert F Nash, Robert E McCann and Peter A Ventura.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all
other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
Councilman Raymond stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth
in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning
Act (M.S A Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
Lpublic hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance.
Petition No. 75-11-1-29, as amended, submitted by Michigan Home for the
Aged, Inc. , for a change of zoning of property located on the west side of Middlebelt,
south of Wentworth in the S E. 1/4 of Section 14, from RUF and P S to R-9-1 (Rural
Urban Farm and Professional Service to Housing for the Elderly)
Petition No 75-12-1-34 submitted by Owen Lavelle for a change of zoning of
property located on the south side of Five Mile Road between Santa Anita and Cavell in
the Northeast 1/4 of Section 24, from RUF to C-2 (Rural Urban Farm to General Business)
Petition No. 75-12-1-35 submitted by Imre and Renati Piko for a change of
zoning of property located on the east side of Levan Road, north of Five Mile Road in
the Southeast 1/4 of Section 17, from P S to R-6 (Professional Service to Two Family
Residential) .
Petition No 76-2-1-4 submitted by Vacri Land. Development Company to rezone
property located at the northwest corner of Farmington and Six Mile Roads in the
Southeast 1/4 of Section 9, from P.L to R-3 (Public Lands to One Family Residential)
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 11 35 P M , April 19, 1976
