MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On September 12, 1977, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001
Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the
Council at 8.17 P M Present. Robert E. McCann, Robert F Nash, Jerry H Brown,
Jerry Raymond, Peter A Ventura, Robert R Bishop and Robert D Bennett. Absent--None
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all
other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning
Act (M.S.A Section 5 2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance
Petition No 77-5-6-7 submitted by the City Planning Commission on its
own motion, to amend Section 18.42 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia
regarding radio towers in residential districts.
Petition No. 77-5-6-6 submitted by the City Planning Commission to amend
Section 10.03(g) and Section 11.03(r) of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia
to provide that the waiver use requirements with respect to SDD Licenses in C-1 and C-2
Zoning Districts shall henceforth not be applicable to the SDD licenses uses already
in existence.
Petition No 77-3-1-3 submitted by Tom's Northwood Market, Inc. for a
change of zoning of property located on the northwest corner of Middlebelt Road and
Clarita in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 11, from C-1 and R-5 to C-2, (Local Business
and One Family Residential to General Business) .

Petition No 77-5-1-12, as amended, submitted by Plymouth Investment Company
for a change of zoning of property located on the east side of Gill Road between
Seven and Eight Mile Roads in the S E 1/4 of Section 4, from RUFA to R-2 and R-3
(Rural Urban Farms to One Family Residential)
Petition No. 77-5-1-16 submitted by Edwin Weinstein for a change of zoning
of property located on the east side of Middlebelt Road between Roycroft and Five
Mile Road in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 13, from RUF to C-2 (Rural Urban Farms to
General Business) .
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 10 27 P M , September 12, 1977
