MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS

On July 25, 1977, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001
Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the
Council at 7:10 P M with Councilman McCann presiding. Present Robert E McCann,
Robert F. Nash, Jerry H Brown, Jerry Raymond, Peter A Ventura and Robert R
Bishop. Absent Robert D. Bennett
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all
other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning
imorAct (M S A Section 5 2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance
Petition No 77-3-1-2 submitted by the City Planning Commission for a change
of zoning of property located between Five Mile Road and Six Mile Road, and between
Levan Road and Edgewood, in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 16, and the East 1/2 of
Section 17, from R-2-A and AG to PL (One Family Residential and General Agricultural
District to Public Lands District)
Petition No 77-3-1-8 submitted by Republic Development Corporation for a
change of zoning of property located on the south side of Six Mile Road, between
Haggerty Road and the I-275 Freeway, in the West 1/2 of Section 18, from M-1 to R-2,
R-7 and C-2 (Light Manufacturing to One Family, Multiple Family Residential and
General Business District)
Petition No. 77-3-1-4 submitted by the City Planning Commission for a change
of zoning of property located on the southwest corner of Eight Mile Road and Newburgh
Road in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 6, from RUFC to PL (Rural Urban Farms to Public
Lands District)

Petition No. 77-3-1-5 submitted by the City Planning Commission for a
change of zoning of property located on the north side of Seven Mile Road, between
Newburgh and. Gill Roads, in the South 1/2 of Section 5, from RUFC to PL (Rural
Urban Farms to Public Lands District)
Petition No. 77-4-1-10, as amended, submitted by Vacri Land Development
Company for a change of zoning of property located south of Six Mile Road, between
Merriman Road and Oporto, in the North 1/2 of Section 14, from RUFA, RUFC and C-1
to R-2-B and RUFC to R-3B (Rural Urban Farms and Local Business to One Family
Residential and Rural Urban Farms to One Family Residential)
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 8.36 P M , July 25, 1977.
