MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On September 24, 1979, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of
the Council at 9 17 P. M. Present Robert E McCann, Robert F. Nash, Gerald Taylor,
Jerry Raymond, Robert D. Bennett, Robert R. Bishop and Peter A. Ventura. Absent
None.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to
the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and
all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been
fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordanc:. with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning
Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding
a public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance.
Petition No. 79-5-1-14 initiated by Council Resolution 367-79 for a
change of zoning of property located north of Joy Road between Cardwell and Deering
in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 36, from C-2 to RUT (General Business to Rural
Urban Farm).
Petition 79-5-1-15 initiated by Council Resolution 434-79 for a change
of zoning of property located on the north side of Joy Road between Linville and
Harvey in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 32 from RUF to R-1 (Rural Urban Farm to
One Family Residential).
Petition 79-6-1-16 submitted by the City Planning Commission for a change
of zoning of property located north of Five Mile Road between Newburgh and Hix Roads
in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 18, from P.L. to R-3-B (Public Lands to One Family
Residential).
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 10 02 P. M., September 24, 1979.
