HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOUNCIL MINUTES 1979-09-05 SPECIAL 18065 MINUTES OF THE ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-SEVENTH SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8, Chapter 14 of the City Charter, the above meeting was held September 5, 1979, at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the Vice-President of the Council at approximately 7:15 P. M.. Roll was called with the following result: Present: Robert F. Nash, Gerald Taylor, Jerry Raymond, Robert R. Bishop, Peter A. Ventura and Robert D. Bennett. Absent--Robert E. McCann. Elected and appointed officials present: Addison W. Bacon, City Clerk; Edward H. McNamara, Mayor; Harry C. Tatigian, City Attorney; Jack Dodge, Finance Director; James Inglis, Director, Livonia Housing Commission and Eldon R. Raymond, Zoning Board of Appeals. By Councilman Nash, seconded by Councilman Bishop, it was 4'902-79 RESOLVED, that having considered a communication from the Mayor dated August 31, 1979 wherein it was requested that a Special Meeting of the Livonia City Council be held on Wednesday, September 5, 1979, at 7:00 P. M. for the purpose of considering the financing and acquisition of the Lincoln Elementary School, the Council does hereby determine to refer this item to the Committee of the Whole Meeting on Monday, September 10, 1979 at 8:00 P. M. A roll call vote was taken on the foregoing resolution with the following result: AYES: Taylor, Bishop, Raymond, Bennett, Nash and Ventura. NAYS: None. By Councilman Nash, seconded by Councilman Taylor, and unanimouslyadopted, this 177th Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Livonia was duly adjourned at 8:10 P. M. , September 5, 1979.
