MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On July 23, 1979, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001
Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the
Council at 7.33 P. M. Present . Robert E. McCann, Robert F. Nash, Gerald Taylor,
Jerry Raymond, Robert R. Bishop and Peter A. Ventura. Absent--Robert D. Bennett.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all
other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning
Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance.
Petition No. 79-3-1-10 submitted by Albert Weiss on Disabled Veterans of
America, for a change of zoning of property located on the east side of Newburgh
Road, north of Seven Mile Road, in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 5, from RUC to
C-2 (Rural Urban Farm to General Business).
Petition No. 79-4-1-11 submitted by Hugh A. Leavell for a change of zoning
of property located on the southeast corner of Seven Mile Road and Loveland Avenue
in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 10, from P.L. to P.S. (Public Lands to Professional
Service).
Petition No. 79-4-6-1 submitted by the City Planning Commission to amend
Section 18.50 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance of Livonia, by revising
the regulations controlling the erection of signs within the City.
The Public Hearing was delcared closed at 8 08 P. M., July 23, 1979.
