MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS

On April 6, 1981, the above hearing was he:Ld at the City Hall, 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of
the Council at 8.25 P M. Present Robert D. Bennett, Robert F. Nash, Gerald
Taylor, Alice Gundersen, Robert R. Bishop, Robert E. McCann and Peter A. Ventura
Absent: None.
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all
other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance
Petition No 81-1-1-1, submitted by Leo I Stein for a change of zoning
of property located South of Plymouth Road, West of Farmington Road in the Northeast
1/4 of Section 33, from R-7 and C-2 to R-9 (Multiple Family Residential and General
Business to Housing for the Elderly)
Petition No 81-1-1-2, submitted by Waycroft Investment Company, for a
change of zoning of property located on the north side of Schoolcraft Service Drive,
west of Cardwell in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 24, from R-lA to P S. (One Family
Residential to Professional Service)
Petition No 81-1-6-1, submitted by the City Planning Commission, to amend
Section 18 45 (b), Protective Wall Requirement, of Ordinance No 543, relating to
bonds required in connection with construction of protective walls.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 9 21 P M. , April 6, 1981.
