MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On December 15, 1980, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the
Council at 8.05 P M. Present Robert D. Bennett, Robert F Nash, Gerald Taylor,
Alice Gundersen, Robert R. Bishop, Robert E. McCann and Peter A Ventura
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15 ) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all
other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning
Act (M.S.A Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance.
Petition No 80-5-1-18, as amended, submitted by Construction Craftsman
Corporation for a change of zoning of property located on the northeast corner of Merri-
man and Seven Mile Roads in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 2, from RUFA to R-7 (Rural
Urban Farm to Multiple Family Residential).
Petition No 80-8-6-9 submitted by the City Planning Commission for an amend-
ment to Section 18.47, Vicinity Control Ordinance, and Section 18 58, Site Plan
Ordinance, of Zoning Ordinance 543, to require the posting of bonds to ensure installa-
tion of approved site landscaping
Petition No. 80-8-1-27 submitted by Veteran's Foreign Wars Livonia Post
3941 for a change of Zoning of property located south of Plymouth Road between Newburgh
Road and Jarvis in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 30, from RUF to C-2, (Rural Urban
Farm to General Business).
Petition No 80-8-1-26 submitted by the City Planning Commission to rezone
property located on the south side of Five Mile Road between Farmington Road and Yale
in Section 21, from R-2 to AG, (One Family Residential to General Agricultural)

Petition No. 80-9-6-10, submitted by the City Planning Commission pursuant
Imp to Council Resolution 677-80 to amend Section 18.50 of Zoning Ordinance No 543 by
revising the regulations controlling the erection of signs within the City of Livonia.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 10 00 P M. , December 15, 1980.
