MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On June 30, 1980, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the
Council at 9.21 P M Present: Robert D Bennett, Gerald Taylor, Alice Gundersen,
Robert E McCann and Peter A Ventura Absent. Robert F Nash and Robert R
Bishop.
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all
other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Mithigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning
L Act (M S A Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance
Petition No. 80-3-1-10 submitted by the City Planning Commission, for a
change of zoning on property located on the west side of the 1-275 Freeway, north of
Five Mile Road in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 18, from M-1 (light manufacturing) to
R-2C, (One family Residential, minimum lot size requirement 70' x 120' )
Petition No. 80-3-1-12 submitted by the Michigan Home for the Armenian Aged,
Inc. , for a change of zoning on property located on the west side of Middlebelt, north
of Five Mile Road in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 14, from R-9-1 (Housing for the
Elderly), to P.S (Professional Service)
Petition No 80-1-6-5 submitted by the City Planning Commission to amend
Section 2 09, Definitions of Parking Terms, and Section 18 37, Offstreet Parking
Requirements, of Zoning Ordinance #543
Petition No 80-4-1-15 submitted by Ford Motor Leasing Development Company
for a change of zoning on property located on the north side of Schoolcraft, east of
Eckles, in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 19, from R-1 (one family residential), to C-2
(General Business)
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 10.20 P M , June 30, 1980
