MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On March 16, 1983, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President
of the Council at 8:46 P.M. Present Robert E. McCann, Gerald Taylor, Alice
Gundersen, Robert R Bishop and Robert D Bennett Absent Fernon P. Feenstra
and Peter A Ventura
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15 ) days prior to
the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and
all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been
LIN fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth
in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the
Zoning Act (M S.A Section 5 2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543,
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia
is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning
Ordinance.
Petition No 82-11-1-18, submitted by Arthur Pollack for Redman Apartments
Company, for a change of zoning of property located on the East side of Middlebelt
between Six Mile Road and Pickford Avenue in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 12, from
RUF to P.S. (Rural Urban Farm to Professional Service).
Petition No 82-10-1-16, submitted by Livonia Post 3941 V.F.W. for a
change of zoning of property located South of Seven Mile Road East of Middlebelt
in the NW 1/4 of Section 12 from R-9 II to C-2 (Housing for the Elderly to
General Business)
Petition No 82-11-1-17, submitted by Christopher B. Ziomek for a change
of zoning of property located on the Northwest corner of Wayne and Joy Roads in the
Southwest 1/4 of Section 33 from RUF to P.S. (Rural Urban Farms to Professional
Service)

Petition No 82-12-1-19, submitted by Bokos, Jones & Flakas for Bruce C
& Toni Mette for a change of zoning of property located on the East side of Arcola,
North of Plymouth Road in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 25 from R-1 to P (One Family
Residential to Parking)
Petition No. 82-11-6-7 submitted by the City Planning Commission to amend
Section 18 42 of Zoning Ordinance No 543 to incorporate regulations pertaining to
the location and height of television and radio towers, satellite discs, etc , within
the City
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 9 56 P M , March 16, 1983
