MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On August 20, 1986, the above hearing was held at the City Hall,
33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan and was called to order by
the President of the Council at 7:00 p m Present Robert R Bishop,
Joan McCotter, Fernon P. Feenstra, Gerald Taylor, Robert D. Bennett and
Ron Ochala. Absent Robert E McCann
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days
prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the
proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the
Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set
forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921,
as amended, the Zoning Act (MSA Section 5.2934, MCLA 125 584) , as well
as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing
relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance
Petition 86-4-1-18, submitted by the City Planning Commission for
a change of zoning of property located on the east side of Horton Avenue,
south of Ann Arbor Road in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 31 from C-1 to
R-1 (Local Business to One Family Residential) .
Petition 86-5-1-23, submitted by the City Planning Commission for
a change of zoning of property located on the northeast corner of Six
Mile and Haggerty Road in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 7 from C-2 to
P.S. (General Business to Professional Service)
There were approximately five people present
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the
office of the City Clerk.
