MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MILLAGE RATE TO BE
LEVIED IN 1987 IN CONNECTION WITH THE TRUTH IN TAXATION
Pursuant to Sections 4 and 5, Chapter VII of the Charter of the City
of Livonia, a public hearing was held on October 15, 1986 at the City Hall,
33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, on the millage rate to be levied
in 1987 in connection with the truth in taxation. The public hearing was
called to order by the President of the Council at approximately 7:40 p.m
Members present were: Joan McCotter, Fernon P. Feenstra, Robert E. McCann,
Gerald Taylor, Robert D Bennett, Ron Ochala and Robert R. Bishop. Absent;
None
The City Clerk presented to the Council satisfactory evidence that
proper notice of this public hearing had been duly published at least
one week in advance of such hearing by the City Clerk in the Livonia
Observer, the official newspaper, and the provisions of the City Charter
have been complied with.
There were approximately 15 people present.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the
office of the City Clerk.
The public hearing was declared closed at 7 45 p m , October 15, 1986
