MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS

On September 9, 1987, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President
of the Council at 8 36 p m Present Robert E McCann, Joan McCotter,
Fernon P. Feenstra, Robert R Bishop, Gerald Taylor, Robert D Bennett and
Ron Ochala. Absent: None.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior
to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed
change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
has been fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth
in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended,
Imi the Zoning Act (MSA 5 2934,MCLA 125.584) , as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance
No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City
of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change of
the Zoning Ordinance
Petition 87-3-1-14 submitted by the City Planning Commission for a change
of zoning of property located on the east side of Antago between Grand River
and Long Avenue in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 1 from RUF to P (Rural Urban
Farm - One Family Residential to Parking)
Petition 87-4-6-2 submitted by the City Planning Commission to amend
Section 2.10, Definitions of Miscellaneous Terms, to define new restaurant
uses, and Sections 10 03 and 11.03 of Zoning Ordinance No 543 to set new
standards for newly defined restaurants within C-1 and C-2 Districts.
Petition 87-5-1-23 submitted by the Mayflower Development, Inc , for
a change of zoning of property located on the northeast corner of Clarita
and Melvin in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 11 from P S & R-5 to R-7 (Pro-
fessional Service and One Family Residential to Multiple Family Residential) .
Petition 87-6-1-25 submitted by Herrel F Sutton for a change of
zoning of property located east of Edington Road between Angeline Avenue
and Plymouth Road in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 33, from RUF to R-1A
(Rural Urban Farm - One Family Residential)

There were approximately 80 people present.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
ii0consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the
office of the City Clerk.
The public hearing was declared closed at 9 55 p m. , September 9, 1987
