MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On September 19 , 1988 , the above hearing was held at the
City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was
called to order by the President of the Council at 6 : 59 p.m.
Present: Fernon P. Feenstra, Joan McCotter, Laura Toy, *Robert
R. Bishop, Gerald Taylor, **Ron Ochala and ***Dale Jurcisin.
Absent: None. Arrived at *7: 04 p.m. , **7 : 07 p.m. and ***7: 12
p.m. respectively.
Pursuant to Section 23 . 06 of Ordinance No. 543 , the Zoning
Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices
fifteen ( 15 ) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in
the area affected by the proposed change and all other require-
ments of Ordinance No. 543 , the Zoning Ordinance, have been
fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions
set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan
of 1921 , as amended, the City Zoning Act, (MSA 5 . 2934 ; MCLA
125. 548) , as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543 , the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of
Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a
change of the Zoning Ordinance.
Petition 88-6-1-18, submitted by RPM Development for a
change of zoning on property located on the west side of Wayne
Road between Ann Arbor Trail and Joy Road in the Southwest 1/4 of
Section 33 , from P.S. to C-2 (Professional Service to General
Business ) .
Petition 88-6-1-16, submitted by Cyril Van Loke for Sword of
the Spirit Lutheran Church for a change of zoning on property
located on the south side of Seven Mile Road between Gill Road
and Laurel Avenue in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 9, from RUFB to
R-4 (Rural Urban Farm - One Family Residential [ lot size 1/2 acre
or more] to One Family Residential [ 90 ' x 130 ' ] ) .
There were approximately 10 people present.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given
due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on
file in the office of the City Clerk.
