MINUTI'ES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITION
On April 18, 1990, the above hearing was held at the City Hall,
33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to
order by the President of the Council at 7:11 p.m. Present:
Joan McCotter, Robert R. Bishop, Laura M. Toy, Ron Ochala, Dale
Jurcisin and Fernon P Feenstra. Absent: Gerald Taylor.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning
Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices
(15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area
affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of
Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set
forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of
1921, as amended, the City Zoning Act, (MSA 5.2934, MCLA 125 548) ,
as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of
the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding
a public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning
Ordinance.
Petition 89-12-1-36 submitted by the City Planning Commission for
a change of zoning on property located on the west side of
Newburgh Road between Amrhein Road and Plymouth Road in the
Southeast 1/4 of Section 30, from RUF to R-9, (Rural Urban Farm,
One Family Residential to Housing for Elderly-2 Stories) the City
Planning Commission in its resolution 1-276-90 having recommended
to the City Council that Petition 89-12-1-36 be approved.
There were approximately 7 people present
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in
the Office of the City Clerk. The public hearing was declared
closed at 7:50 p m. , April 18, 1990.
