MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITION
top On December 17, 1990, the above hearing was held at the City
Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called
to order by the Vice President of the Council at 8:21 p.m.
Present: Dale Jurcisin, Laura Toy, Robert R. Bishop, Gerald
Taylor and Fernon P. Feenstra. Absent: Joan McCotter (recuperat-
ing from minor surgery) and Ron Ochala.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the City
Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior
to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the
proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543,
the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The Vice President stated that in accordance with the
Lorprovisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Actsof
Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section
5.2934,M.C.L.A. 125.584), as well as Article C(III of Ordinance
543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of
the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a
request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance.
Petition 90-8-1-22, submitted by Charles Tangora for the
Italian Club of Livonia and Dan Arnold for a change of zoning of
property located on the north side of Five Mile Road, east of the
1-275 Freeway in the S.W. 1/4 of Section 18 from RE to C-2 (Research
Engineering to General Business) .
There were approximately 75 persons present.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in
office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 9:40 p.m. , December
17, 1990.
