HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1992-07-20 PETITION 1992-02-01-04 27116 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITION On July 20, 1992, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Toy at 8:31 P.M. Present: Ron Ochala, Fernon P. Feenstra, Sean P. Kavanagh, Michael P. McGee, Dale Jurcisin, Gerald Taylor and Laura M. Toy. Absent: None. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. President Toy stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth L in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934; M.0 L.A. 125.584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance. Petition 92-2-1-4, submitted by Ledford & Grifka, P.C. for Northwest Alano Club to rezone property located on the east side of Newburgh Road, south of Ann Arbor Trail, in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 32 from RUT' to C-1 and P (Rural Urban Farm One Family Residential - 1/2 acre lots) to Local Business and Parking. Petition 92-3-1-6, by Lidia Veri for Livonia Builders to rezone property located on the south side of Six Mile between Henry Ruff and Merriman Roads in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 14 from RUFC to R-2 (Rural Urban Farm One Family Residential - 1/2 acre lots to One Family Residential 70' X 120' lots). Petition 92-3-6-1, by the City Planning Commission to determine whether or not to amend Zoning Ordinance 543 to establish filing fees for site plan approvals and to increase filing fees for waiver use approvals. Petition 92-3-6-2, by the City Planning Commission to determing whether or not to amend Section 31.02 of Zoning Ordinance 543 to provide that certain privately-owned property could also be eligible to be rezoned to an NP, Nature Preserve, zoning district. 27117 There were approximately sixty-six persons present lao Questions and comments from interested persons were given due considera- tion by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the of the City Clerk.
