MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITION
On February 26, 1996, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Laura at 8.00
p m Present: Femon P Feenstra, Maureen Miller Brosnan, Val Vandersloot, Michael
P McGee, Gerald D Taylor, Brian Duggan and Joe Laura. Absent: None.
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City
Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date
to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other
requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section
4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A
Section 5.2934, M.0 L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance.
1) Petition 95-9-1-20, submitted by the City Planning Commission,
pursuant to CR 492-94, for a change of zoning of property
located west of Middlebelt Road between Five Mile Road and
Puritan Avenue in the S E. 1/4 of Section 14, from PL and RUF
to NP (Public Lands and Rural Urban Farm - 1/2 Acre Lots to
Nature Preserves)
2) Petition 95-10-1-21, submitted by the City Planning Commission,
for a change of zoning of a portion of Heiman Park located on the
east side of Gill Road between Southampton Avenue and Curtis
Road in the N E. 1/4 of Section 9, from PL to NP (Public Lands
to Nature Preserves)
3) Petition 95-10-1-22 submitted by the City Planning Commission,
for a change of zoning of Denmar Park located on the north side
of Curtis Road between Golfview Drive and Hampton Court in the
N E. 1/4 of Section 8, from PL to NP (Public Lands to Nature Preserve)
4) Petition 95-10-1-23, submitted by the City Planning Commission,
for a change of zoning of Madonna Park located on the south side
of Lyndon Avenue between Fairway Drive and Parklane Drive in the
S W 1/4 of Section 20, from PL to NP (Public Lands to Nature
Preserves)

5) Petition 95-10-1-24, submitted by the City Planning Commission,
for a change of zoning of Greenbriar Park located on the north side
of Lyndon Avenue between Yale Avenue and Ellen Drive in the
N E. 1/4 of Section 21, from PL to NP (Public Lands to Nature
Preserves)
There were approximately 45 persons present.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared clo -d at 9.10 p m , February 26, 1996
